The Higher Institute of Business and Management Sciences (HIBAMS) is a Private Higher Professional Institution (University Institute) specialized in the delivery of contemporary careers in Business Studies and Engineering relevant to the needs of a rapidly changing and growing country, like our country Cameroon.

Our aim at HIBAMS is to offer our students quality training and value for money. This is achieved by ensuring that study programs are systematically monitored and updated to incorporate new developments and theories. It has modern computing facilities and a well equipped library. It has 2 campuses, campus ‘A’ and campus ‘B’.

MINISTERIAL AUTHORIzATION (MINESUP) HIBAMS is a Higher Institute (University Institute) authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education with Creation and Opening Order numbers 11/0042/MINESUP and 10/04334/L/MINESUP/DDES/ESUP/SER of 03 Aug. 2000. This means that we are recognized as a Bona Fide, RECOGNISED Private Higher Education Institute.

Administration & Governance

The founders of HIBAMS constitute those who came together, with a common vision to create a professional Higher Institute of learning where young Cameroonians will be trained as professional Accountants, Bankers, Managers, Engineers to feed the need of the Cameroonian economy.

i. Board of Directors: The highest body of the Higher Institute is the Board of Directors. This Board is the highest policy organ of the Higher Institute . Its chairman is the official head of the institution and undersigns all degrees, diplomas and certificates issued by the university. The Board will be constituted by an internal memo to be issued by the founding body.

ii. President of HIBAMS: The President functions as the head of the institution and manages the day-to-day running of the institution. The Rector, The Registrar, The Director of Administration, The Marketing Director, The IT coordinator, The Dean of Studies, The Administrative assistants and the Accountant of the institution are directly answerable to the Director. The President reports to the Board of Directors.

Vision & Goals

HIBAMS wishes to use our existing resources and potentials to modernize the economy of Cameroon, and put it on the right path for globalization and regionalization. We intend than many professional graduates will be produced in the next few years, to feed the technology needs of the country and to improve on the level of the economy, which is in line with the President’s vision for Cameroon, making Cameroon an emerging nation.

HIBAMS seeks to:

* Reduce the lack of quality experts in core engineering/Business Fields in Cameroon.
* Harness technology/Business activities to minimize the adverse effects of globalization.
* Create wealth through job creation and raise the standard of living of Cameroonians.

Our Mission

Our mission is to demystify technology, train managers and technologist locally and produce skills and expertise in technology to attract foreign investment and create jobs and wealth. We equally mandate ourselves to utilize technology to alleviate poverty, protect and preserve the environment, improve productivity and boost the transformation of local raw materials and natural resources.
Our mission is also to provide opportunity for quality professional education, so that we may have productive Accountants, Managers, Bankers, Engineers, Marketers etc for our country Cameroon.
